People say you shouldn't leave this world regretting anything... well... with that in mind never leave anything unsaid...be truthful, honest and straight. If you love someone make sure you tell them...one day it could be too late...if you want to write a book - write it...if you have poetry in your soul - put it on paper; share it - show the world your talent - you only get one chance on this planet... tell her... tell him...free your heart and soul from disenchantment...
Photographically it's been the beginning of the season for wildlife images but the almost continuous easterly breeze has been a pain in the neck to be frank. The chill has kept the invertebrate numbers down, plants have been held back and in general it has been frustrating... However, I still have a burning desire to present nature to all...not specifically the rare or the unusual (although they are great to find) but the common-place, the everyday... so despite the weather I will continue to show you all just how amazing wildlife is... from rare orchids to stinging nettles...
So the month started with a trip up to Scarborough... always good to see my folks and to relax by the sea. I did manage to get an early morning trip out to the beach and harbour when the light was OK...
Spring was now desperately breaking through despite the cold wind so I managed a trip to a piece of ancient woodland a few miles down the road...

Finally, this month I have started trapping moths - using a heath trap in my garden. The purpose is to record species and because they are just gorgeous creatures that many people don't see... The weather has been a bit against me, but here are a few individuals...
